Reasons for blue
Flying is always useful, even if it is a “bad” version of flying. You could say:
“I’m basically getting perfect hover-skates. I can glide everywhere without walking, avoid puddles, mud, insects, hot pavement, Lego bricks, and awkwardly stepping in dog poop.”
30 cm is still enough to:
- Move faster and smoother than walking.
- Avoid uneven terrain, stairs, wet floors, snow, sand, or gravel.
- Look extremely cool in a mysterious way.
- Save energy because you do not have to actually step.
- Win every “the floor is lava” game forever.
Reasons for red
“Most of the time, people are not specifically looking for me. So I could still disappear in lots of situations.”
Invisibility is useful for:
- Avoiding awkward small talk.
- Sneaking out of boring situations.
- Getting privacy.
- Playing incredible pranks.
- Hiding from someone who does not yet know they need to find you.
- Walking through a crowd unnoticed, as long as nobody is actively searching for you.
